The SYPC is not only an exciting experience that enables pianists from all over the world to meet and interact with each other in one location; it also gives them a chance to compete for The Advanced Class where the winner will represent the Philippines in Southeast Asia Regional Finals and will compete for a spot at the International Steinway Festival. The next is The Intermediate Class that is given the opportunity to showcase their progression in their piano-playing journey.

The prestigious SYPC attracts thousands of talented students every year, as well as numerous musical professionals who come to watch and support these musicians.

The entry deadline for the Advanced Class is on March 21, 2022, while the Intermediate Class is on March 22, 2022. The competition is open to any young musician under the age of 17 who wants to showcase their talent in front of a live audience, comprising of two classes.

The Advanced Class & the Intermediate Class

This year, the competition will focus mainly on two categories, the Advanced Class and the Intermediate Class.

The winner of The Advanced Class will represent the Philippines in the Southeast Asia Regional Finals, competing for a chance to perform at the International Steinway Festival.

The Intermediate Class which was first launched in 2022, is a great platform for those who wish to showcase their talents, meet other people and hone their performance skills. In this competition, competitors don’t have to submit an assignment; they can choose the music they feel best represents their talent.

We want to reassure all our participants, adjudicators, and artists associated with the competition that all efforts are being taken to provide a safe and secure environment for everyone.
